Scott McClellan Confirms: W Authorised Leaks

Well, Scotty McClellan all but confirmed the Liebby story, that the outing of Valerie Plame was authorised by none other than President Bush:

"There is a difference between providing declassified information to the public when it's in the public interest and leaking classified information that involved sensitive national intelligence regarding our security," he said.

Yes, there is a difference.

Technically, what W did is probably legal, but it is both immoral and possibly the greatest abuse of power and the public trust any US president has ever done.

W knew his actions were so reprehensible that he pretended that he had not done them. He misled us to believe he was 'searching' for someone, when in fact that person was him [a la OJ's search for the 'real' killer].

Then, W allowed his favourite pastime, the wasting of taxpayer dollars, to search for Crazy Ivan, the non-existent leaker. Instead of being a man and saying what he did, he pretended to be clueless and indignant, while the snipe hunt at our expense continued for almost 3 years now. Millions wasted, when all he had to do was say 'I did it!'

But, even the most ardent Bush Apologist would have found W's misuse of classified information for personal and political gain so repugnant as to turn on him, and W was so embarrassed by his actions that he hid the truth from America, feigning ignorance in a dark deception.
